PYP Workshop attendees will learn first hand what it takes to get signed to a major agency in Chicago, when Brandis Ohlsson, the new agent at Artists by Timothy Priano sits on our Industry Experts on Sunday, September 16th in Chicago.
Brandis Ohlsson grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Never really feeling quite at home in a small town and always infatuated with the fashion industry, she moved to New York after high school to pursue a modeling career, but quickly decided she was more cut out for working behind the scenes.
After an internship with Anita Bitton at The Establishment NYC, she spent several years working in casting and show producing. Brandis has worked on the casting and production for shows for Alexander Wang, Jill Stuart, Tori Burch, Band of Outsiders, among others.
In 2010 a marriage proposal brought her back to the Midwest, where she seized the opportunity to work as the Director of New Faces and Development for Modelogic––Wilhelmina. With a keen eye for what is happening now, Brandis was able to scout and develop new talent, placing models in New York, Los Angeles, Milan and Singapore. Recently, Brandis joined the Artists by Timothy Priano team, where she manages and promotes artists to both local and national advertising, retail, and editorial clients.
Brandis has been granted the amazing opportunity to form continuing relationships with talent agents and crews across the nation. Her exceptional eye and extensive experience working in both the commercial and editorial sides of the fashion industry along with a s strong knowledge of how each influence the direct sale of products, Brandis is a go-to expert in the Midwest fashion and talent industry.
