In my life as an educator, mentor and tough love disher-outer, it does my heart good to witness the moment when one of my PYP Grads becomes 100% focused, moving forward, scaling obstacles and living in the moment. It is the moment when they embrace every time they've ever heard me say, "Well, if you stay ready, you won't have to get ready."
At 4:32PM this evening, I witnessed one of those moments from one of my Grads and I wanted to share.
In response to her letter below I answered, "This is the email of a clear-minded focused artist. I am VERY proud of you. I see your light and know that I am right behind you pushing all the way. I'm getting ready for tonights conference call with PYP LA May 2012.
Call me tomorrow and lets discuss everything on your list."

Greetings Crystal,
I wanted to give you a quick update....I did get through last weeks shoot. I am busy working on my brand.
I did purchase my domain names today...XxxxxxXxxxx.com (freelance/advertising/celebrity), XxxxxxXxxxXX.com and XxxxxxXxxxxXxxxxx.com (bridal and mainstream). I sent an email to Xxxxx to ask him for images from our shoots that I can use legally right now as I will have to upload the tears after publishing. I will give him Photo Credit and link on my site.
Questions:
1. Would you like to have a link on my site as well...(associated or suggested links)
2. May I email Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx in order to request images or copies of the issues I worked on? I just recently found places near me that carry the magazine for future reference. but I still needed the images from the Xxxx Xxxx Xxxxxxx spread.
3. I am struggling to get high resolution images for my gallery any tips besides shame on me for not doing that in the first place? :)
I am also trying to implement ................... as well as ............................... for the pyp group.
Thank you so much for always supporting and encouraging me.
Respectfully,
JP
These are the moments I live for. When all of the late night frantic phone calls, conference calls, questions, planning sessions and butt kicking all pays off and they take over as the empowered artists that I saw sitting in class refusing to take no for an answer.
It is at this moment that focus and energy become one and planning to work and working the plan is who they are.
And now––I gotta get ready for that 7:15PM conference call with 14 more grads.

For 24 years Crystal Wright represented some of the most talented freelance makeup, hair, fashion stylists and manicurists in entertainment and fashion. If the work of celebrity hair stylist Neeko, makeup artist Monifa Mortis, fashion stylist's Lisa Michelle and Melinda Tarbell ring a bell, then you know just a few of the people whose careers she had a hand in developing.
In 2009 God told her that, the season for representing artists was over and she should focus on writing, speaking, teaching and coaching. Since then, she has written her second book; 30 Days at 100 Percent and launched a career coaching business for individuals and small groups.
She has been called many things, but most often she's called the "Empowerment Diva," she gets people unstuck and YOU are on her list of things to do.
Crystal believes in personal responsibility and is not afraid to share her own life lessons of the times she buried her own head in the sand and came up on the bottom of a bad decision. Her job now––to inspire and motivate others to take responsibility for their choices, leave their excuses at the door, get control of their lives and take their power back.
She has self-published 2 books, The Hair Makeup & Fashion Styling Career Guide and 30 Days at 100 Percent: Changing Your Life 30 Days at a Time. If you are a beaty pro who needs answers about what to do next to break into the world of print, video, film and TV the Career Guide is for YOU!
If your life is a mess, or you just simply feel stuck and without direction, energy or focus, then pick up the book and maybe even the audio version of 30 Days at 100 Percent and get ready for a change.
In all things Crystal challenges you to strive for excellence and get hold of your life by tackling one thing every 30 days. You can order both books online in the CrystalWrightLive Store.

Me out to dinner with my PYP Grads. Every one a success. So nice to be in the same place at the same time. Mary Gordon and Brandie showed up and showed out for me at The Makeup Show in NYC. Caught up with Jennifer MacDougall when she returned from doing a training in DC, and My baby Stephanie Flor.
